Business in our market-leading Adjustable Beds Group has quadrupled over the last few years and continues to expand at a rapid pace—our development team must grow with it! We're searching for experienced Hardware Engineer with a strong background in electronics design to join the product development team in Lenexa, KS. You'll work with various aspects of electronics design and integration in our market-leading products, from motor control to remote control communications to smartphone apps that control the sleeping environment. 

Some of our upcoming projects include smart systems for sleep monitoring, sleep diagnostics, heating, cooling, massage, and motorized articulation.

We're looking for a Hardware Engineer with electronics experience in the following areas:

  • Servo control: H-Bridge, PWM circuitry, PID loop control, MOSFETS, transistor circuitry
  • Encoder Systems: hall effect, reed switches, optical etc
  • Power Supply: switched mode power supplies, transformers, solid state, power circuitry
  • Microcontrollers: ARM based MCU’s and/or MPU’s 
  • Communication/embedded systems: Zigbee & Other IEEE (433 MHz, 2.4 GHz radio communications), MI WI, Bluetooth classic, BLE, Wi-Fi, CAN bus, LIN bus, NFC
  • Specialized circuits: capacitive sensing, RGB LED Control, dimming and current modulating circuitry, USB charging, Qi/Wireless
  • Schematics, Simulation, PCB Design and Layout
  • Design for high volume manufacturing
  • Experience/Familiarity with Embedded Firmware development in C



  • Design, develop, and test the hardware platforms for Adjustable Bed Control Systems
  • Collaborate closely with product teams to integrate new features and technology into product platforms
  • Coordinate with team members and vendors to integrate externally developed deliverables into projects as well as provide technical feedback in discussions on roadmaps and component selection for future platforms
  • Perform advanced technical research on new technologies and develop prototypes to demonstrate the new technology with the team



  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another relevant engineering/technical field
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals
  • High attention to detail with proven ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities simultaneously and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Engineering, Program Management, Product Management, and Senior Leadership
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and opinions
