Flex-O-Lators in Carthage, MO is seeking two Vision/Controls Technicians, one for 1st shift (5:45-14:15) and one for 2nd shift (13:45-22:15). This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing production machinery both mechanically and control systems, such as PLC programming, vision systems and servo motor controls. This position also performs testing of manufactured parts or products to certify quality and adherence to specifications, inspects and analyzes test models or new parts, and may also operate production equipment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Programming, maintenance, and enhancement of production of machinery both mechanically and control systems, such as PLC programming, servo, and vision systems.
  • Vision lighting systems experiment and build prototypes.
  • Work closely with the Quality Technicians on control system issues & solutions.
  • Keep machine control files up to date.
  • Keep machine instructions up to date, involving the Quality Technician and Design Engineering.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school degree or equivalent and minimum of two years of relative experience
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must be able to use measuring tools.
  • Must have mechanical skills and ability.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Must know or be willing to learn basic electricity/electronics.
  • Must have computer skills in MS Office applications.
  • Might be required to lift 70 lb.
  • Must work overtime when necessary.
  • Must be able to work with teams on continuous improvement projects.
  • Must have good communications skills
  • Must be willing to learn new technology systems
