Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a Product Data Specialist for the Information Technology Department at the company’s headquarters in Carthage, Missouri.  The successful candidate will be the driving force in building and maintaining the product information catalog that will support our diversified portfolio of products that serve our different business units around the world.  The Product Information team will also play a pivotal role in the success of the Company’s overall eCommerce strategies.  The role will also ensure that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.

 

Interested applicants should excel in the areas of research, investigation, data entry, manipulation, architecture and should be passionate about information.  The Product Data Specialist will identify, gather and enter product information from various sources that will be digitally uploaded to a structured product information system.  This will involve using Excel, Web Browsers, Email, and other programs or databases for data transformations.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Independently perform product information assignments such as collecting, organizing, preparing and uploading product information.
  • Research, collect, and analyze product information
  • Process, format, and revise data from various internal and external sources
  • Enter data per set guidelines
  • Create and edit Excel spreadsheets and functions
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Experience working with Product Data in an industry standard PIM (Product Information Management) such as Heiler, Informatica, InRiver, Hybris, IBM InfoSphere, Riversand, etc.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and other formulas
  • SQL, MySQL, or other relational database knowledge a strong plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and an extreme attentive to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and research skills.
  • Able to multi-task, work independently and interact effectively with internal & external customers
  • Experience in PIM architecture is a strong plus
