Leggett & Platt, Inc. is the leading innovator in the sleep industry, with more than a century of experience helping people sleep better and more bedding technology patents than anyone else in the world. Our Adjustable Bed division in Carthage, Missouri is seeking an IT Specialist to join its growing team. This position will be responsible for design, creation, deployment, and management of technology solutions to support our Product Development and Warranty Services groups.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administer daily full system backups web server
  • Administer Web Portal for technical support
  • Perform server and other equipment maintenance as needed
  • Administer Sharepoint, SOHO, SQL based databases and other systems being used today
  • ODBC/SQL scripting
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of IT systems
  • Develop, generate, and oversee reports and documentation related to network and systems operations
  • Collaborate with management in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost effective technology solutions
  • Asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment
  • Assist with implementation of varied IT solutions like CAD/CAM systems, CRM systems etc.

 

Requirements

  • 4 year degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years of IT experience (Manufacturing experience preferred)
  • Experience administering and/or installing an enterprise level systems
  • Strong technical, math, and Microsoft office skills
  • Creation and maintenance of internet sites and servers
  • Programming experience: SQL, Python, CSS, Javascript, server side scripting, automated report generation from web based relational databases, web design (Wordpress/Dreamweaver), Microsoft Access (vba and general creation and reporting)
