Midwest Regional Sales Manager

Leggett and Platt Flooring Products; if you are in the flooring industry you know and understand the reputation that comes with our great products.  Are you excited to wake up every morning and sell?  Do you live by the ABC’s of sales, “Always Be Closing?” If so, we at Leggett & Platt may have just the right fit for YOU!  We need an energetic Midwest Regional Sales Manager to oversee the sales activity of our residential and commercial flooring underlayment products.  Specifically, we want to target new and existing business in: Western PA, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota.  You must live in the region (or be willing to relocate) to be considered. 


You will get to manage existing key relationships, develop new customers, and manage 10 sales representatives. We are expecting huge growth potential in this market with our new underlay products. Plus, you will get a chance to do a little travel (about 50-60%).


What will you be doing?

  • Targeting growth opportunities and achieving regional sales goals
  • Providing strategic guidance to sales agents/ representatives within the region
  • Travelling with sales reps and working with distributor partners in each territory
  • Monitoring overall sales performance within the region
  • Presentation of products to existing customers and new prospects
  • Establishing new residential and commercial business opportunities through developing relationships with commercial flooring contractors and wholesale distributors

 

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 5 years prior sales / sales management experience
  • Current experience in the residential or commercial flooring industry
  • Proficiency in technical sales presentations to professional flooring companies, specifiers, and interior design consultants
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience using MS Dynamics 365 CRM a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study is desired

 

We are looking for a leader with a proven sales track record. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate, through references and work samples, the ability to work effectively with employees and managers at all levels of the organization and be a proven problem solver. Salary is commensurate with experience and annual bonus paid on attainment of projected EBIT and KPI’s.
